Adopted dog religiously peers out of window for one heartwarming reason

Austin, Texas - When the clock strikes 5:30 PM, Abby immediately knows where to find her dog, Harvey: in front of the window in the living room, where the canine sits almost motionless and stares outside. But what is the animal eagerly waiting for?

Harvey has lived with Abby Schulte in Austin, Texas for five years after he was abandoned by his previous owner in the middle of a hurricane. Since then, things have been anything but easy for the dog.

Before he reached his first birthday, Harvey just passed around from home to home, and ended up back at the shelter four times. The animal had suffered a deep wound in his heart from the terrible separation from his first owner, and subsequently developed a great fear of men.

This makes Harvey's behavior all the more shocking as the four-legged friend now anxiously awaits the arrival of Abby's partner, who comes home every day around 5:30 PM.

Although Harvey can't read a clock, the doggo sits punctually at the window every day, staring through the curtains while waiting for his "daddy" to finally return.

What happens as soon as he sees Abby's significant other in front of the window was captured in a video and posted on TikTok.

The once-motionless dog is suddenly struck by a large portion of love as he begins to wag his tail in delight.

Afterward, there is no stopping him, and Harvey darts towards the front door. In the video, the dog can be seen greeting Abby's boyfriend with lots of romping and cuddling.

Other TikTok users were more than taken by this tumultuous reception, writing: "No other being on the planet, including your own wife and kids, will ever be this excited to see you," "Oh! So sweet!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰," and "The tail says it all."

The video has already been viewed over 178,000 times, but no matter how many views the TikTok receives, what matters is that Harvey finally found a loving home!
