Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - The Kansas City Chiefs outlasted the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday for a big road win as their head coach makes a little NFL history in the process.

The Chiefs beat the Eagles 42-30 to get back into the win column after two straight losses prior to taking on Philly, who have now lost three games in a row.

Kansas City quarterback Pat Mahomes (26) was the star of the show, having one of the best games of any passer in Week 4.

He went 24-for-30 for 278 yards, had five touchdowns, and added an interception to boot.

Three of those scores went to wide receiver Tyreek Hill, part of an 11-catch, 186-yard performance.

The Eagles fielded second-year quarterback Jalen Hurts, who, while putting up a whopping 387 yards off 32-for-48 passing and two touchdowns, just couldn't top the high-powered Chiefs offense in the end.

Philly went toe-to-toe with Kansas City in the first quarter, leading them by three but once the second quarter got underway, the Chiefs started to pull away with things from that point until the Eagles tried to mount a comeback in the fourth.

The Eagles got as close as five after Kenneth Gainwell ran for a seven-yard touchdown to open the fourth. But the Chiefs fired right back with two more touchdowns to keep themselves comfortably ahead, despite the Eagles getting one more score with only seconds to go in regulation.

With the win, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid became the first NFL head coach to win 100 games for two separate franchises. Coincidentally, the other team that he has 100+ wins for are the Eagles, where he coached from 1999 to 2012.

Next Sunday, the Chiefs (2-2) go back home to take on the Bills (3-1) while the Eagles (1-3) head to Carolina to face the Panthers (3-1).
