The WFT outlasted the Seahawks 17-15 on Monday night to extend their winning streak to three games.

Seattle is now suffering through a three-game skid, seemingly on their way to being eliminated from playoff contention.

The Seahawks, who were in desperate need of a win, jumped out to an early 7-3 lead after one quarter.

Washington battled back in the second to crawl into halftime tied 9-9.

The second half featured more gritty and low-scoring football, with the WFT scoring just a touchdown to go up 17-9 ahead of the fourth quarter.

After several failed drives mixed with Washington being unable to put more points on the board, Seattle finally got back into the end zone with only 15 seconds to spare.

Washington shut things down for good by denying Seattle’s two-point conversion attempt to seal the deal for the win.

Washington’s fifth-year running back J.D. McKissic (28) was the top guy on the field for Washington.

McKissic suffered a neck injury late in the game that ended up having him carted off the field, but not before he was able to do enough damage to the Seahawks to keep them down in the game.

He carried the ball seven times for 30 yards and a touchdown on the ground to go with five catches for 26 yards, and another touchdown through the air.

Washington is cruising right now with a three-game winning streak. Even though they still have a losing record, they're currently holding on to the seventh spot in the NFC.

That means that if the playoffs started today, they would actually be featured in a wild card game.

It's all the more reason for them to do whatever it takes to keep the momentum they have at the moment and make ensure they don’t slip down the totem pole.

Next Sunday, Washington (5-6) will try to make it four wins in a row in Vegas against the Raiders (6-5) while the Seahawks (3-8) are back at home to face the 49ers (6-5).
