While the storm may have moved some college football games around due to unplayable weather conditions, it won't stop the big league from holding the much anticipated matchup.

On Thursday, the Tampa Buccaneers confirmed via Twitter that their game against Kansas City will remain as originally scheduled.

"We are also very thankful that the Tampa Bay area was spared the most damaging consequences of this powerful storm," the Bucs said in a statement. "We have informed the NFL, after consulting with local and state agencies, that we are ready to play Sunday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium as originally scheduled."

Earlier in the week, the NFL made emergency plans to move the game to Minnesota if the hurricane made hosting it in Tampa impossible.

Now, the Buccaneers will look to move past their loss to the Green Bay Packers last week to overtake Kansas City in Week 4 of the NFL.

Sunday night's kickoff between the Buccaneers and the Chiefs is set for 8:20PM EDT.
