There's nothing worse than losing your sunglasses at the zoo on a sunny day. But when said sunglasses are recovered by an orangutan, the loss is a lot easier to swallow.

TikToker Lola Testu found herself in this unlikely situation while visiting the Taman Safari zoo in Kallenkote, Indonesia. Though her loss was initially disappointing, things turned around when she witnessed an orangutan recover her lost shades. The animal then proceeded to try them on for size.

The moment was captured in a TikTok shared by Testu on August 1, which showcases the elder orangutan cradling her baby moments before discovering Testu's sunglasses in the grass.

Without hesitation, the orangutan picks up the sunglasses, then proceeds to accurately and fashionably place them on her face for all to see.

At one point in Testu's video, the baby orangutan tried to take a swipe at its mom's newfound fashion staple, but she wasn't about to let her baby steal the show.

Towards the end of the video, the orangutan lost interest in Testu's shades, and tossed them back towards the woman in exchange for some delicious leaves to grub on.

One user pointed out the animal's similarity to humans in a joking way, commenting, "I swear they can talk but just don't want to pay taxes," while another made a nod to the 2004 box office hit Mean Girls, writing, "'I'm not just [an] ordinary mom, I'm a cool mom.'"

The TikTok has acquired over 29.4 million views and 6.7 million likes in its first 22 hours on the platform.
