Pennsylvania - What would you do if you were waiting for an elevator and looked up to see a dog dangling from the door?

One apartment dweller was placed in this exact predicament, and the whole exchange was captured on security video.

In the brief clip, a man is seen approaching an elevator with his head down and eyes glued to his phone. He proceeds to press the button and wait for the elevator, unaware that there's a dog dangling from the top of the doors just a few feet above his head.

As the man continues to scroll on his phone, the dog patiently waits for him to spot it helplessly hanging in the air. After a few moments, he lifts his head and jumps back after spotting the doggo right before his eyes.

After the initial shock wore off, the man quickly jumps into action and proceeds to unlatch the precious pup from its leash that was seemingly stuck between the elevator doors.

The dog swiftly falls into the man's arm, who backs away from the elevator after rescuing the pup. The man was later interviewed by Inside Edition and admitted he was in "total shock" when he realized the dog was dangling just above his head.

This serves as a solid reminder to be mindful when using an elevator with a leashed doggo!
