According to WAFB9, the yellow Burmese python is named Cara and participates in animal shows put on by the Blue Zoo animal shop at the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge.

Earlier this week, store owners realized Cara had forced her way out of her cage and may have escaped into the mall. The Blue Zoo reassured mall patrons that Burmese Pythons rarely attack humans, and that they "had evidence" she was moving throughout the store ceiling.

The strange situation attracted a lot of attention, as customers took to Facebook to comment on where she might be or suggesting she might have been stolen.

After hiring plumbers and contractors to practically dismantle the walls of the store, and then asking for a sniffer dog to try and find her hiding place, the Blue Zoo was ready to do anything to find the 12-foot-long python.

Finally, the store announced on Facebook early Thursday that they had finally located and extracted Cara from a ceiling in what looked to be a very invasive maneuver based on the video posted.

In the clip, a man inside the store walls feeds Cara back through a hole cut under some piping and air conditioning ducts to other people on a ladder. It seems Cara really didn't want to return to her cage!

The Blue Zoo also hired various snake experts, and installed heat trackers, motion sensors, and made warm spots to attract the python. They have yet to share details as to which method worked to help them finally catch the clever escape artist.
