Harry Kane is the face of Skechers' new soccer cleat collection

Harry Kane is on board: Skechers has launched the Beyond Illusion Pack, a new collection of soccer cleats.

Two Elite models get fresh, desert-inspired colors: the Razor 2 Elite FG, built for speed, and the SKX_2 Elite AG, built for control. Both cost $225.

Here's what sets them apart.

Why these soccer cleats take their colors from the desert

Inspired by the subtle beauty of the desert, the Beyond Illusion Pack brings a refined color palette to two of Skechers' standout soccer silhouettes: the SKX_2 Elite AG and the Razor 2 Elite FG.

Warm, sun-washed sand tones and metallic gold accents meet opal blue details and deep gray for a look that feels fresh without being over the top.

The campaign features some familiar names from the world of soccer, including Harry Kane, Romeo Lavia, Mohammed Kudus and Lexi Lloyd-Smith.

They represent the composure, precision and confidence the collection is all about. Because when the pressure is on, the ability to stay comfortable and focused can make a real difference.

The Elite cleats launched on October 19, with Academy, Club and Kids Academy versions following on October 23. That means players of different ages and skill levels can find their own take on the new collection.

Razor 2 Elite FG: Made for speed

A defender closes in, one quick change of direction, and you're gone: That's the moment the Skechers Razor 2 Elite FG is built for.

It's made for players who live off quick bursts and sharp changes of direction. FG stands for firm ground.

A TPU and glass fiber plate with track-inspired studs helps with fast acceleration and stopping. A ripstop cage holds the foot in place, Grip_Fit silicone elements on the sockliner and collar lining add a secure fit, and V-Grip detailing improves ball touch.

The microfiber upper is designed to feel comfortable right away, with no break-in period. The Razor 2 Elite FG costs $225.

Who should pick the SKX_2 Elite AG?

Think of the moment a pass has to land exactly on a teammate's foot: That's what the Skechers SKX_2 Elite AG is made for.

It's built for control: precise passing, striking and close touches. In the Beyond Illusion colors, it's available as the AG version, with an outsole made for artificial grass.

A Performance FitKnit upper hugs the foot, Hyper Burst Pro cushioning adds comfort underfoot, and P.S.C. molding (Precision Strike Control) improves contact with the ball.

Inside, Skechers Lock Fit silicone grip elements keep the foot from sliding, and V-Grip detailing adds grip between cleat and ball. At about 6.7 ounces (189 grams), it stays light on the foot.

The SKX_2 Elite AG also costs $225.

Speed or control? Here's how to choose

The difference comes down to your game: The Razor 2 Elite FG is about acceleration and agility, the SKX_2 Elite AG about touch and precision.

For younger players or anyone on a smaller budget, the Academy versions are the easier way in. The SKX_2 Academy FG keeps the look of the Elite version and is made for firm natural grass.

A lightweight textile and PU skin upper, a responsive TPU plate and Skechers Move Foam cushioning keep it comfortable, while molding on the upper helps with ball control. It weighs about 8 ounces (227 grams).

The SKX_2 Academy FG costs $90.
