Raceland, Louisiana - After Gypsy Rose Blanchard's ex, Ken Urker, died on Thursday, an autopsy has been completed for the 34-year-old.
As the local medical examiner in Louisiana reported, there is still no definitive cause of death.
In a statement to Page Six, the agency said, "The case remains pending completion of toxicology testing."
There will be no further information until the results are in and the investigation has concluded.
After Ken was found dead on Thursday, the responsible police announced, "We are continuing the death investigation. To this point in the investigation, we have found no evidence of foul play."
His former fiancée, Gypsy Rose, had already told the media that she suspected Ken had died of an overdose.
"I don't know if it was intentional or not. He was not in a good state of mind lately," the 35-year-old said.
It has now emerged that at the time of his death, Ken and Gypsy Rose were no longer a couple.
Ken Urker and Gypsy Rose Blanchard quietly split before his death
A source close to them told Page Six, "They officially broke up about a month ago, but then they were living apart for about two months."
According to the source, the two initially tried to save their relationship but eventually separated on amicable terms.
"It was nothing nasty…It was just a mutual agreement," the tipster said. "They were co-parenting."
The insider said the breakup was due in part to Ken's mental health issues.
"She missed him. She wanted him back, obviously, and he just wasn't in the right frame of mind," the source said. "His mentality of mental health wasn’t good for the past few months.
"We all just wanted him to kind of get better and see if he would get some therapy. And she was just hoping that would be the outcome."
Despite the split, Gypsy Rose and Ken remained in contact and continued to communicate regularly, including about their daughter Aurora.
The pair first met in 2017 while Gypsy Rose was incarcerated for the murder of her mother, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard.
In October 2018, they got engaged but later called it off. Gypsy Rose then married Ryan Anderson in June 2022.
Two years later, they separated, and shortly after, Gypsy Rose resumed her relationship with Urker.
