Will Chappell Roan announce new music at Daisy Chain Fields? What we know
Irvine, California - As Chappell Roan gears up for her performance at Olivia Rodrigo's inaugural Daisy Chain Fields music festival, fans are wondering if the Grammy-winning artist will announce new music.
It appears Chappell is no longer begging for someone to come get her out of California, and fans are here for it.
Roughly two weeks after The Giver singer stunned the crowd at Noah Kahan's sold-out show at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, Chappell is gearing up to take another Cali stage by storm. But this time, it's for her sure-to-be-legendary performance on Saturday night at her pal Olivia Rodrigo's female-led music festival, Daisy Chain Fields.
With Chappell showing so much California love as of late, it's not a long shot to guesstimate she might have some tricks up her sleeves in the "new music" way. She did debut The Subway live at Governor's Ball in June 2024, which she dropped as an official single a year later in July 2025, along with a music video.
Months before officially releasing The Subway, Chappell dropped a completely unheard-of song, The Giver, in March 2025 after teasing it for months with billboards, social media posts, and more.
The songstress has yet to release, or even hint at the release of, new music since dropping The Subway. Meaning, she's long overdue for dropping easter eggs hinting at new songs or a possible album. Her set at Daisy Chain Fields could be the perfect place for her to make a major music announcement.
Whether or not she does, however, is up to her – as it should be! And if there's one thing fans have come to know about Chappell Roan, it's that she does things on her terms.
Chappell's set at Daisy Chain Fields fest is set to take place on Saturday at 7 PM PST on the Dandelion Stage at Great Park in Irvine, California.
