Raceland, Louisiana - The sister of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's ex-fiancé, who was found dead on what would've been his 34th birthday, is speaking out in the wake of his death, sharing why she believes Gypsy is "to blame." But Gypsy is now seeking to combat "cyberbullying" in the wake of his death.
"We are disgusted," Ken Urker's sister, Autumn Urker, told the Daily Mail in an interview published on Saturday. "She hasn’t even called my mother or any of us yet."
Ken was found dead on October 1, and though Gypsy told several outlets she believes he died from an overdose, that remains to be seen. The local medical examiner in Louisiana reported that there is still no definitive cause of death, with the agency telling Page Six, "The case remains pending completion of toxicology testing."
Gypsy on Sunday shared a Change.org petition in support of "Kenan's Law," which she says is about "changing the way social-media platforms handle repeated reports of harassment."
Gypsy claimed, "Before his passing, Ken experienced an overwhelming amount of online scrutiny and what we believed crossed the line into targeted harassment and cyberbullying. Reports were made across multiple platforms, and far too often, the response was simply: 'No violation.'"
But Autumn appears to see things much differently than Gypsy, telling the Daily Mail that Gypsy Rose is "to blame for his death because all of this started because of her."
According to Autumn, "[Gypsy] had to be in the limelight. She had to be that girl. She didn’t care what it cost other people around her. She loved all the attention at the expense of everybody around her."
She claims Ken revealed he feared Gypsy Rose and was "terrified" he wouldn't keep their daughter, Aurora, safe, and feared he had failed Aurora "because of Gypsy," noting that he felt she had "humiliated him."
Sister of Blanchard's ex claims Gypsy Rose "is not this sweet person"
Though Gypsy, who was released from prison early on parole after serving 85% of her 10-year sentence for her part in the murder of her Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard, has created an online persona, Autumn doesn't seem to buy it one bit.
"It was her way, or she was screaming at him because he was trying to control her like her mother," Autumn told the outlet. "Gypsy is not this sweet person."
The police incident report reportedly noted that officers found Ken lying on his back and he was "cold to the touch," according to the Daily Mail. Authorities also noted he appeared to have been there for an "extended period of time."
Investigators found syringes, a spoon, a handgun, and a "brown powdery substance."
The report also noted that nothing in Ken's bedroom "appeared to be disturbed or moved."
