Los Angeles, California - Podcaster Ethan Klein is in hot water with social media after his wife, Hila, accused him of having a months-long affair.

The internet was in shambles on Friday after Hila dropped a lengthy Instagram statement, telling fans she was "living in a nightmare" after discovering her husband was cheating on her.

Hila claimed that Ethan had brushed off her initial suspicions and repeatedly lied about his behavior before ultimately confessing that he'd been having an affair for more than six months.

"The betrayal I feel is immeasurable. The person I loved and trusted for 20 years evaporated overnight," she wrote. "He was my safe place, my partner in marriage, parenting, and business."

"How do I even make sense of this?" Hila added.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, co-founded the h3h3Productions YouTube channel and have three sons together.

A day before the bombshell statement, Ethan announced that his H3 Podcast was on an "indefinite hiatus," but did not specify why.

The podcast team has backed Hila, saying in a statement that they are "all shocked, angry, and heartbroken to learn about Ethan's ongoing affair." They said that they agreed not to continue working with Ethan but added, "We don't know what that means for the future."

To say that the scandal has exploded on social media might be an understatement.

"sorry i cant come in to work today ethan klein cheated on his wife and i have to be on the internet all day for that," one X user wrote.

X was flooded with both dedicated fans in disbelief and critics who took some delight in seeing the podcast's downfall.

The situation has also reminded the chronically online of the infamous Try Guy cheating scandal, where star Ned Fulmer was fired from the viral group after cheating on his wife with an employee.

And of course, the internet never forgets, so X users were quick to resurface a clip of Ethan's response to the scandal.

"I just hate men who have kids – they f**king put their wife through childbirth, they deliver you two beautiful children, and then you go and cheat on them bro," he said at the time. "F**k that."

In both scenarios, the men had seemed head over heels for their partners and had turned their marriages into fan-favorite content – a pattern not lost on internet reactors.
