Irvine, California - Social media influencer James Wehr lost his life in a devastating sports‑car crash last weekend, and now, the identity of the accident's second victim has been revealed: aspiring model Alexis "Lexi" Kramer.
When the McLaren slammed into a curb and then a tree in California just after midnight on Sunday, 22-year-old Lexi was in the sports car, her family has confirmed to the New York Post.
But further details emerging after the horrific crash call the influencer's marriage into question – was it merely a formality?
What Lexi's relatives have shared sounds as though they had just spent a romantic weekend together.
James is said to have paid for Lexi's flight from Florida to the West Coast.
The Hooters employee and the 27-year-old car enthusiast reportedly had breakfast together before attending his well‑known car show, South OC Cars & Coffee.
The fatal accident occurred just hours later.
James and Lexi are said to have first met on Instagram, where they reportedly messaged each other for about a month.
During that time, James told her that his marriage was over and that the divorce was already underway.
However, public court records cited by the New York Post showed that no divorce proceedings had actually been filed.
"[He] talked to her every day all the time and finally got her to fly out to California to come see him," Lexi's family said.
