Florida – A few days ago, Hollywood icon John Travolta shared an adorable new video with his dog, Peanut, on social media, melting countless hearts in the process.

"Peanut is happy after having a bath," the 72-year-old Grease star wrote in the caption of his Instagram clip.

The joy of his little four‑legged friend was unmistakable: Peanut repeatedly licked his human and snuggled up close to his face.

"Did we just have a bath? You're so clean," John told the pup.

Peanut soon showered him in kisses before snuggling up to lie down with him.

Travolta has featured his family dog several times on his Instagram account.

For about four years now, Peanut has been an integral part of the Travolta family. Whether at events, on the red carpet, or in the arms of his son Ben, the lively Chihuahua mix is always there.

But she's not just a star at home – the dog is famous on social media, and her journey started before she even met her A-list owner!

Peanut was discovered, along with many other puppies, at the Avenal animal shelter in California.

As People reported, the puppies were "dumped in a box" outside of the animal rescue center.

Before the dog was eventually adopted by Travolta, Peanut – then known as "Mac N Cheese" made her big debut in 2022 during the In Memoriam Oscars segment.

Actor Jamie Lee Curtis held Peanut on stage, using the moment to honor animal welfare.

After the show, Travolta met the four‑legged star, and it was love at first sight.

30 minutes later, he was holding the dog in his arms, and soon after, he signed the adoption papers to make Peanut a permanent member of the family.
