Katy Perry to open up about "dark marriage" to Russell Brand after his rape conviction
London, UK - After Russell Brand's conviction on rape and sexual assault charges, Katy Perry is reportedly making moves to speak out about her former union with the actor.
According to the Mail on Sunday, an insider said Perry plans to open up about her "dark marriage" to Brand.
She and her team are reportedly considering producing a book and a documentary series, and they have already been in touch with streaming platforms such as Netflix and Hulu.
"There is a lot about that marriage which people don't know. It was a very dark period in her life," the source said.
Perry, who was married to Brand for 14 months before their divorce became final in 2012, reportedly has "a lot to say."
The Dark Horse hitmaker is currently dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Brand was found guilty by a London jury this week of one rape and three sexual assaults, involving a total of four women. He is being held at the HMP Wandsworth prison until his sentencing.
