Los Angeles, California - Kim Kardashian reflected on her brief marriage to Kris Humphries and her complicated relationship with Kanye West in a new book!
The reality star said that she "knew it before we were married in my soul" that the ex-NBA player wasn't the man for her in Jonathan Van Meter's biography, Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future.
Kim explains, "I just thought, 'Well, it's cold feet.' But your gut, your soul, is always right," per People.
She continues, "And then I thought, 'Well, they’re filming for a show, and if I bail now, they're going to call me 'the runaway bride,' and it will be an even bigger thing.' But I should have just not gotten married."
Kim and Kris tied the knot on August 20, 2011, and the ceremony was documented during a two-part special on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The Kardashians star filed for divorce 72 days later, which led to speculation that the marriage was a publicity stunt.
Kim says she does everything in her power to "forget" Ye's negative actions
The SKIMS co-founder also touched on her "challenging" co-parenting dynamic with Ye, whom she divorced in 2022 and shares four kids with.
Kim admitted that she "sweeps everything under the rug" regarding all the horrible things that the rapper has said about her for the sake of their children.
Still, she said that constantly worrying about Ye is a "big burden."
"I'll never not worry about him. And that's a big burden of having kids with someone who you don't necessarily get along with. My kids would never know that," Kim said.
She added, "I do everything in my power to forget about all the negative things that happened. I have to be realistic, and my therapist definitely tells me, 'Your boundaries have to go up,' but we manage to co-parent without too much conflict."
