Travis Barker reveals reason for mystery hospital visit with Kourtney Kardashian
Los Angeles, California - Travis Barker opened up about his unexpected trip to the hospital after sharing photos alongside his wife, Kourtney Kardashian.
The 50-year-old musician took to his Instagram story to share a health update with fans.
"I had surgery yesterday," he explained. "My arm, hand, and fingers have been numb since a show I played last month."
He revealed that after undergoing a nerve test earlier this week, doctors determined that he required a cubital tunnel release to address the issue.
Travis explained that he "wanted to get ahead of it" to ensure that he could continue his rocker career "for a long long time."
He also shared another selfie with Kourtney, where the reality star smiles to the camera as her hubby sits in a hospital gown and surgical cap.
"Not sure why my wife looks so happy about this," he joked under the photo.
According to the UNC School of Medicine, a cubital tunnel surgery works to release "the soft tissue compressing the nerve." The procedure usually involves about three months of recovery.
Kourtney wasn't the only person by the Blink-182 drummer's side, as his 20-year-old daughter Alabama Barker, whom he shares with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, was also seen in earlier photos he shared from the hospital.
