Los Angeles, California - Miley Cyrus just dropped a bombshell announcement on her devoted fans (which is basically everyone) – a new album rollout is afoot, and the record will drop sooner than you think. Here's what we know so far!
She'll always find her way back home.
"My tenth studio album, BASS PERSUADES, is yours September 18th," read a Tuesday Instagram post from the superstar, who recently dropped her last name from her online branding.
"Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong.
Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me," she added, in her trademark poeticism.
"Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album."
The announcement post also featured a black-and-white photo of the singer, her hair messy and eyes ringed with a smoky shadow. In it, she grasps a flower in her mouth and gazes into the camera soulfully.
Miley has been mourning the tragic loss of her godmother Dolly Parton after the country icon died last week.
Per Dolly's team, she had died after quietly fighting a "brief battle with cancer."
"The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share," the Flowers singer wrote in an IG tribute soon after the Jolene singer's death.
According to Miley, one of their last conversations together was about music and "metamorphosis."
"What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong," Miley said.
"I will always love her and want to make her proud."
