New York, New York - MAGA-loving rapper Nicki Minaj recently threw in her public support for Florida Republican gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds.
On Saturday, Minaj shared an X post featuring a video of Donalds urging Floridians to come out and support him at the polls on Tuesday.
"You have my vote. Barbz please support him however you can," Minaj wrote in her post, calling on her fan base to help.
Back in January, the Trinidadian rapper went all-in on her loyalty to Donald Trump after she gained a Trump Gold Card, which fast-tracked her citizenship application.
While applicants are required to contribute $1 million for the card, Minaj said she got hers "free of charge."
She has since become a MAGA figure, regularly attending events alongside the president's administration officials and shamelessly sharing her love for Trump on social media.
While her MAGA rebranding has alienated many fans, Minaj has said the hate only "motivates me to support him more."
Donalds, who has represented Florida's 19th district since 2021, announced his run to replace Governor Ron DeSantis, who has reached his term limit, last February.
As one of the very few Black elected Republicans, he has built a reputation, similarly to Minaj, for his steadfast loyalty to Trump and MAGA.
A 2024 Pew Research Center poll found that 83% of Black voters favor the Democratic Party, while only 12% favor the Republican Party.
