Seattle, Washington - The Seattle Seahawks faced the wrath of the Swifties after giving a pointed nod to Taylor Swift in a post celebrating their win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Seattle handed Swift's husband Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the year with a dominant 20-3 win on Sunday night.
In celebration, the Seahawks social media pages gave a nod to Swift with two friendship bracelets that read "Seahawks Win" along with the caption, End Game.
The caption was a reference to the 36-year-old 2017 track, while the bracelets come from the fan tradition of friendship bracelet exchanges at Swift's Eras Tour concerts.
Unsurprisingly, Swifties came out in full force to push back against the trash talk, with some even threatening some "Tayvoodoo" against the defending Super Bowl champs!
"good morning just hired an etsy witch," one X user wrote, while another said, "Yeah… This has never once worked out well for anyone."
"They're 4-3 as the reigning champions and they have to [resort] to dissing a player's wife, who has nothing to do with this (and who wasn't even at the game). Pathetic," another said.
Still, some Swifties pushed back at their fellow fans, arguing that the post was ultimately a harmless joke.
"Y'all, this is cute. Sorry the Chiefs lost but they can't win every time and this is clever. Let's try to act like grownups," one Swift fan wrote.
Since she began dating Travis Kelce in 2023, Swift has been a frequent reference in the NFL world, both when it comes to cheering on wins and throwing around some trash talk.

In November 2023, the Philadelphia Eagles made a similarly shady nod to Swift after defeating the Chiefs by posting a friendship bracelet with "Eagles Win" on it and writing, "In our winning era."
But the team also made a reference to the Karma singer's former allegiance to the Eagles and her 2020 track gold rush by hanging an Eagles t-shirt on a door, matching a line from the song.
While some Swifties may still be up in arms over Seattle's post, there's some good news to come out of the loss: Kelce's third catch of the night pushed him into the top five of players with the most receptions in NFL history.
