Taylor Swift gushes over Phoebe Bridgers' new album: "Absolute triumph in every way"
New York, New York - Taylor Swift gave her former Eras Tour opener Phoebe Bridgers a sweet shoutout after the indie rocker dropped her long-awaited third album, Lost Weekend.
In an Instagram story shared Monday, Taylor called the 32-year-old singer's record "absolute triumph in every way."
"It's her birthday but she gave us a gift – Haven't been able to stop listening," she gushed.
The 36-year-old pop star added, "To write about grief with such vulnerability and detail, and to trust the listener with this much honesty."
Phoebe's new album – her first solo album in six years – dropped on Friday.
Taylor has been a proud supporter of the Kyoto artist for years now, and she even tapped her as one of the supporting acts on her record-breaking Eras Tour in 2023.
That same year, Taylor praised Phoebe's work with boygenius, hailing the group's The Record as a "masterpiece."
Phoebe has shared the love in turn. She's cited the Opalite artist's songwriting as a major inspiration and told the iHeartRadio Music Awards crowd, "I'm grateful to have grown up in a world with Taylor Swift in it, or The World (Taylor's Version)."
Over the weekend, Taylor and Phoebe were both spotted at the star-studded wedding of music recording engineers Oli Jacobs and Laura Sisk in the UK.
