Avengers: Doomsday: Millions view new trailer just hours after its release

Los Angeles, California - Millions of people seem to be eagerly awaiting the December release of Marvel Studio's newest Avengers film, judging from the 6 million views a promotional clip of the movie received on YouTube some three hours after it was posted.

Just an hour later, that figure had risen to 8.3 million.

The trailer hints at a painful loss that reportedly turns the villain in the new movie Avengers: Doomsday into who he became.

Actor Robert Downey Jr., who has already achieved something of a cult status as the character Iron Man, plays Doctor Doom.

In the new film, the heroes of three universes are on a deadly collision course and face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve experienced previously, the makers said.

An initial trial was released in July.

The film is directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo.
