Authorities probe Meghan Markle's estranged father Thomas: "All signs point to a possible sex offender of the grossest kind"

Manila, Philippines - After the shocking child abuse allegations against Meghan Markle's estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr., Philippine authorities are now warning that he may be a "possible sex offender of the grossest kind."

Speaking with The Guardian, Interior Minister Jonvic Remulla said that a complete investigation will help to provide a "definitive picture," but the signs so far are quite troubling when it comes to the 82-year-old.

"In these cases where family disputes are mixed up, we have to consider all the angles. Right now all signs point to a possible sex offender of the grossest kind," he said.

Remulla added that the forensic findings are expected within a week, but authorities will need time to assess the results before sharing any public statements.

Thomas Markle vehemently denies having any sexual contact with minors. He did admit, however, that during earlier stays in the Philippines he paid for sex.

"I like Asian women, but that is not a crime," he once told British media.

Meghan's half-sister Samantha Markle believes that a photo shows her father in bed with a young Asian woman who might've been a girlfriend.

She added, "Dad dated a wonderful Japanese woman called Carolyn, who I loved. She was in her thirties, but she looked like a teenager. Asian women have great skin and are small and petite. They look much younger than they are."

Thomas Markle Jr. discovered the alleged abuse material on computers his father had left behind. Police seized several boxes of evidence, and the FBI also announced it would investigate the allegations.

Meghan Markle said she was deeply shaken by the recent news. Back in 2018, the London Metropolitan Police had informed her of serious allegations against her father.

She trusted that they would be investigated and made the decision to cut off contact with her father.

Following the recent news, the Duchess of Sussex explained that "any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children, was for one reason: to protect them."

At the same time, the London police are under heavy criticism for how they handled the case.

They admitted they did not forward information about alleged crimes outside the UK to the appropriate foreign authorities.

Thomas Markle himself dismissed all accusations as "sick lies" and announced he would do everything to clear his name. He said he hadn't used the affected hard drives for years and that someone else must have placed the files on them.

He further insisted that he has never had sex with anyone under the age of 18.
