Meghan Markle pens personal message as father Thomas faces child abuse investigation

London, UK – Amid the serious allegations against her father Thomas, Meghan Markle has penned a personal message reflecting on finding "joy" in the little things in life.

Meghan Markle said she looks forward to "an autumn of new adventures" in a personal message shared amid an investigation into disturbing allegations against her father.

In a personal message for the holiday catalog of her lifestyle brand As Ever, the 45‑year‑old reflected on the past year, as People reported.

"This year has reminded me how much joy can be found in the moments that make up a life," the Duchess said.

She said she especially cherishes "evening snuggles" with her two kids, but also looks forward to "Travel and adventure, time in the garden, building this business and sketching away at all the details, both big and small."

She also spoke of "an autumn of new adventures" – a possible reference to her surprising move back to Britain with Prince Harry.

The upcoming holiday season, she said, is an opportunity "to gather a little closer, to make things with our hands, to set the table with care, and to give generously to the people we love."

Despite Meghan's upbeat remarks, investigations are underway against her father for alleged possession of child pornography.

The 82‑year‑old is suspected of having "hundreds, if not thousands," of depictions of child sexual abuse.

His son told a tabloid that he had handed over the relevant footage to the local police back in July.

Meghan's brother said he discovered the recordings among family memorabilia.

Thomas Markle flatly denied the accusations, calling them "sick lies" and "bulls**t." Meghan, meanwhile, said the allegations left her "deeply distressed."

The Duchess also implied that she has known about the allegations against her father since 2018 – the same year she married Prince Harry.

She said she hoped that it can "now be understood that, despite certain media publications' distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children, was for one reason: to protect them."

Last year, the former actor is said to have written a final letter to her father in which she told him he would never get to know her children.
