Angry dog walker almost ruins the perfect proposal with racist tirade

Laguna Beach, California - It was supposed to be the most beautiful moment of their lives, but instead, this couple's special moment was almost ruined by a woman shouting racist insults. Luckily, things took an unexpectedly uplifting turn.

Emmanuel Banuelos had everything perfectly arranged. He was going to pop the question to his girlfriend, Hayley Lugo, with the dreamy ocean view at Laguna Beach, California, in the background. Banuelos had even hired a mariachi band!

Just as he was about to ask Lugo to marry him, a woman with her dog showed up, as CBS reported.

The passerby claimed that Crescent Bay Point Park was meant for residents only. She was upset by the romantic decorations Banuelous had arranged and wanted them torn down.

Hayley's sister Trinity, who was secretly filming the proposal, tried to defuse the situation. She also caught the whole episode on camera.

As per the video, when the music started, the woman began shouting. This isn't Mexico, either, you motherf**kers. Go back to Mexico."

Despite the racist insults, Banuelos went ahead with his marriage proposal. Luckily, Lugo only learned what had happened in the background after she'd said yes.

The video of the angry dog-walking woman and the sweet proposal has gone viral with over 10 million views.

When Lisa Clark, owner of the Saint Clark Bridal Suite wedding dress shop in Monrovia, saw the video, she wanted to make a statement.

So, she promptly decided to give Hayley a wedding dress.

Clark wanted to show the couple that the world isn't just filled with hatred.

"I'm so grateful," Lugo told CBS.

And that's not all: Emmanuel launched a fundraiser on GoFundMe for their future together and their planned Mexican wedding.

More than 60 people have supported the couple, and they've already surpassed the goal of $1,000. Banuelos thanked everyone for the overwhelming support with a clear message: "Love Over Hate!"
