Four-year-old boy's adorable reaction to hearing his parents' voices for the first time goes viral
Florida – What this boy experienced in a doctor's office is hard for an outsider to imagine. For the first time in his life, the four‑year‑old suddenly could hear not only himself but also his parents clearly. Now, his adorable reaction is going viral!
Titan was born in 2021 with hearing problems. It soon became clear what he was missing: The child was born with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss.
As a result, Titan could hear only about 30% of what people with normal hearing perceive.
His parents were nonetheless determined to give their son the "best life possible," as they explained to Newsweek.
However, the first few years proved challenging for the family.
Titan's hearing loss primarily affected his speech development.
"He was a little behind in preschool, and we were told that we probably shouldn't put him in kindergarten yet due to him not knowing certain nursery rhymes and his ABCs," mom Kaitlynn Johnson explained.
In October 2025, however, Titan had a life‑changing appointment with a specialist. There, the then‑four‑year‑old received his first hearing aids.

It was a magical moment for the whole family when the audiologist finally turned the devices on Titan's ears.
In a viral video, you can see the boy being asked by the doctor if he hears anything. The four‑year‑old then bursts out laughing.
His parents were overwhelmed: "Me and my husband were both in tears while giggling along with him."
Titan heard his own voice clearly for the first time, his laughter, and the sounds of other people.
A year has now passed, and Titan has gotten used to wearing his hearing aids daily and to the many new stimuli.
His mother happily reports that his development has experienced a real boost since he can hear more.
"Watching Titan experience the world more fully through his hearing aids has been incredibly rewarding, but beyond that, we believe his story has the potential to encourage others," she said.
For this reason, she shared the clinic video on TikTok, where it has now amassed over 1.5 million views.
