Footage of the incident was recently released by the Idaho State Police and shows the two‑wheel stunt on I‑84 near Boise.

"Riding season isn't over yet – but this is one way to end it early," the police wrote under the post.

Two riders barreled across the multi‑lane, busy road when one of them lifted his bike upward.

The reckless stunt worked for the lead rider, but the other had a different outcome.

He crashed onto his back, and sparks from his motorcycle sprayed across the pavement.

According to police, emergency services treated the apparently only slightly injured man on site.

"Thankfully, the rider was cleared by medical personnel at the scene," the post said, adding, "This could have ended much worse."

Nevertheless, both he and his riding companion were cited by officers for reckless driving after the ill-fated stunt.

"Enjoy the remaining riding weather, but ride responsibly. Reckless driving puts everyone on the road at risk," the police continued.
