Barack Obama reveals surprise endorsements in key midterm races: "Proud to be on board"

Washington DC - Former President Barack Obama recently revealed which Democrats he's endorsing in key races with the midterm elections less than a month away.

On Thursday, former President Barack Obama endorsed two Democratic candidates in key races ahead of the midterm elections in November.

On Thursday morning, Senate candidate Troy Jackson of Maine shared a video on X of Obama saying he is "proud to be on board" with his campaign to unseat Republican incumbent Susan Collins.

About an hour later, Gubernatorial candidate David Crowley of Wisconsin shared a similar video of Obama endorsing his efforts to defeat Republican Representative Tom Tiffany.

Obama also threw in support for Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former mayor of Atlanta, who is now running for governor of Georgia.

According to CBS News, Obama headlined a fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee on Wednesday night, during which he discussed the stakes of the upcoming midterm elections as Democrats are battling to take back the majority hold the Republican Party has on the House and Senate.

With the midterms less than a month away, and both races currently in tight standings, Obama's support could boost the candidates, as he remains one of the most popular politicians in the country.
