Washington DC - The mother of Renee Good, the Minnesota woman who was fatally shot by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents last year, recently called on President Donald Trump to seek accountability for her daughter's murder.

On Tuesday, Good's mother, Donna Ganger, gave a speech during a public forum hosted by Senator Richard Blumenthal and Representative Robert Garcia, where she revealed she voted for Trump in 2024 because she believed in his promise to protect the nation.

"I'm a registered Republican. I voted for President Trump under the impression that these agents were here to protect the citizens of the United States, innocents like our family and the others here, against terrorists, certainly not to accuse those of us here of being terrorists and take precious lives," Ganger said.

On January 7, 2025, Good had just finished dropping her son off at school when she got into a confrontation with an ICE agent, who opened fire on her as she attempted to drive away.

After shooting her, the agent was heard on video calling her a "f**king b***h."

Following the incident, multiple Trump administration officials publicly called her a "terrorist" who intended to use her car to kill the agent, despite videos showing that was not the case.

Her death, along with several others at the hands of federal agents, has sparked outrage and mass protests across the country, with many critics even calling for ICE to be abolished.

While Democrats have been demanding that the Trump administration hold agents accountable, Republicans have largely refused to investigate such incidents and have sought to pour more money into ICE efforts.
