Washington DC - President Donald Trump on Friday named MAGA loyalist Stephen Miller as his new chief of staff, promoting the architect of his hardline migration policy after the Republican Party's brutal midterms defeat.

Miller will replace current White House chief of staff Susie Wiles as of Monday, Trump said on his Truth Social network, thanking Wiles for an "outstanding job."

“I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff starting Monday, November 9, 2026," Trump wrote.

"Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump Political Operation. I want to thank her for her service as Chief of Staff — She has done a great job!"

Wile had long been a political advisor to Trump and was the first woman to ever serve in the role she did in the Trump administration.

She held the chief of staff position longer than any other has under Trump in either of his terms.
