Trump claims he was sent by Jesus in bizarre Obama-shading meme: "Mentally unfit"
Washington DC - President Donald Trump is still coming for former President Barack Obama, this time, in the form of a meme claiming he was sent by Jesus to save America.
Just when you thought the Cheesecake Factory-provoked beef between Trump and Obama was dying down, the president takes to Truth Social to add gasoline to the fire.
In a Saturday post, Trump reshared a meme featuring Obama talking to Jesus.
In the meme, Obama says, "Trump is reversing all of my policies!" to which Jesus replies, "You reversed all of mine, which is why I sent Trump."
The meme was initially shared by actor and conservative commentator Kevin Sorbo.
The policies that were put in place under the Obama administration that the Trump administration stripped away include the US joining the Paris Agreement, which was a legally binding international treaty on climate change adopted by nearly 200 countries with a primary goal of limiting global warming to below 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit. Obama adopted the framework in 2015, and Trump removed the US from the agreement in 2017.
Additionally, Obama blocked the Keystone XL pipeline in 2015 due to environmental and climate concerns, and Trump reversed the decision and approved the project in 2017, saying it would boost energy production and create jobs – which it didn't do, and the project was later scrapped entirely in 2021.
In reply to one of the many reshares of Trump's reposting of Sorbo's Jesus-Obama meme, one X user said, "Hey, Kev, Jesus does not pass government policies."
Another X user said, "Trump is mentally unfit."
But Trump loyalists and MAGA superfans found immense humor and validity in the post.
X user and and host of AMERICA FIRST BRIEFING Julie Lucci posting, "When the President of the United States and Commander-In-Chief of the most Powerful Military on the planet posts about Obama sitting with Jesus, the world pays attention. BOOOOM!!!💥💥 GOD WINS!!"
