Washington DC - President Donald Trump finally unveiled his grand strategy for leading the Republicans to midterm election victory – waiting until the last 30 days and playing less golf!
Gathered in the recently-renovated White House Rose Garden for a dinner with GOP lawmakers and top officials, Trump used the occasion to lay out his winning strategy for November's elections.
It's a strategy that comes only two short months before Americans head to the polls, and as Trump's approval ratings have fallen to the lowest point in his political career.
"I'm going to take the final 30 days, maybe a little bit more than that, because it's all about 35 races," Trump reassured the gathering of top Republicans. "I'm going to go to every one of those 35 places, and we're going to see if we can get everyone elected."
Trump didn't clarify where he planned on campaigning, instead insisting that lawmakers "give me some names where, I say, is either tied, or you're winning by a little bit, or you’re losing by a little bit."
"In some cases, you can be losing by a lot, and we'll bring you over the line," Trump said.
Questions continue to swirl about the continued strength of Trump's MAGA endorsement power for candidates.
It's expected that Trump will focus his midterm efforts on a number of key Senate races, notably Senator Dan Sullivan's campaign in Alaska and Ken Paxton's in Texas.
"Four months out I said, 'Okay! No days off!'" Trump said, referring to the run-up to the 2024 election. "If I didn’t make four to five speeches a day, it was very bad."
"For four months, there will be no pleasure. I'm not gonna go play golf. All I'm gonna do is work, work, work, fight, fight, fight, win, win, win. And I did!" Trump recalled.
