Trump vows to sign order banning use of the term AI: "A very bad and inaccurate name"

Washington DC - President Donald Trump announced that he plans to ban the use of the term artificial intelligence (AI) as part of his demand that everyone begin calling it "super intelligence" (SI) instead.

In a Truth Social post on Tuesday, the president slammed The Wall Street Journal for continuing to use AI, insisting that the term is "a very bad and inaccurate name" and that SI is "the name which virtually everyone else is using, or soon will be."

"In short order, we will be officially BANNING the term, 'AI/Artificial Intelligence,' in all relevant documents, and everything else, due to its inaccuracy," Trump added.

Last month, Trump began pushing the name change during a speech to the United Nations General Assembly, where he argued the word "artificial" undersold the technology and claimed there was a "globalist scheme" to control it.

Shortly after, he signed an executive order demanding that his branch of the government begin using the term, which would be enforced "to the maximum extent permitted by law."

The Republican has since warned that his administration views anyone still using the term AI as "THE ENEMY!"

While Trump's efforts have seemingly won over tech industry titans, some of his most loyal MAGA allies are lost on his intentions.

In a recent X post, conservative commentator Matt Walsch said he had "no idea why" the renaming was so important to Trump, describing it as "the weirdest political hill to die on" because it "gains you nothing."
