Was Trump's "human printer" Natalia Harp behind his ban on news outlets at the White House?
Washington DC - A new report claims that President Donald Trump's close aide, Natalie Harp, may have been behind his decision to ban multiple news outlets from the White House.
According to CNN, several Trump administration sources said Harp presented the president with clips of media coverage shortly before he announced his ban on CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House.
One source said a graphic from Politico "infuriated" the president.
Trump's decision comes as he repeatedly targets news outlets that share negative reporting about him in his second term.
During his announcement, he said there was "no reason" specifically for the ban, but he had grown "sick" of "cumulative stories over the last two years."
On Saturday morning, CNN says its reporters were denied access when they tried to enter the White House grounds, and one even had her badge seized.
All three outlets are now filing a critical First Amendment lawsuit against the move.
Meanwhile, Trump continues to face scrutiny over his relationship with Harp, as she rarely leaves his side and has penned what New York Times reporters have described as "adoring letters" to the president.
Harp notably spent more than a year working with Trump without having official security clearance before the president himself stepped in, per MS NOW.
Harp was once a One American News anchor who used her role to push the president's MAGA agenda and conspiracy theories.
On Monday, Harp was spotted boarding Marine 1 with the president ahead of his scheduled meeting with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
