Malibu, California - A suspicious person was found trespassing on the property of a home owned by former Vice President Kamala Harris over the weekend.

According to the NY Post, an unidentified woman was dropped off by an Uber near Harris' $8.1 million home. She attempted to enter the property, but was turned away by security.

Malibu Lost Hills sheriff deputies were notified around 10:30 PM on Friday night that the woman had returned.

When they arrived, Harris' security had her escorted off the property, where she was "warned and advised by deputies to leave the premises and left voluntarily without incident."

In a statement, a spokesperson for Harris confirmed that security personnel managed to stop the intruder who "illegally entered" the property before they made it to the home.

"Vice-President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff were not present," the spokesperson added. "They are grateful to the security and law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly."

While it's unclear what the woman's intentions were or if she was armed, the incident comes as threats of violent acts against politicians have significantly grown in recent years.

It also comes as Harris – who served alongside former President Joe Biden and lost to Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race – has reportedly been considering running for president again in 2028.

In what appeared to be a spiteful move, President Trump withdrew Secret Service protection for Harris last year despite Biden extending the deadline prior to leaving office.
