Lauren Boebert haunted by infamous Beetlejuice scandal in new attack
Washington DC - MAGA Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is now facing a new attack ad that brings up one of the worst of the many scandals of her political career.
According to Politico, the clean energy group Invest in Tomorrow Coalition recently dropped the first ad as part of their $1.5 million effort to combat Boebert's reelection efforts.
The ad brings up the classic 1988 film Beetlejuice, and reminds viewers Boebert and a date were once kicked out of a musical performance of the show after they were spotted vaping and "explicitly groping each other repeatedly."
It then goes on to slam her policies, and argue that she should not be reelected in the upcoming November midterms.
"If Lauren Boebert can't be trusted in a room full of kids, then she can't be trusted in the halls of Congress," the ad concludes.
The scandal took place in September 2023, and Boebert – a staunch "Christian family values" MAGA Republican – initially denied any wrongdoing. Surveillance video was quickly released proving claims of her indecent behavior.
She later issued an apology, claiming she was going through a "challenging personal time," and "fell short" of her values.
Boebert is now running for reelection in Colorado's 4th District, yet scandals continue to follow her - recently, she was hit with allegations of having affairs with members of her staff and paying one to stay silent about it.
A recent poll funded by the PAC that released the ad found that Boebert is only 5 points ahead of Democratic challenger Eileen Laubacher.
