San Francisco, California - Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene will soon face former presidential candidate Andrew Yang on the debate stage to discuss the nation's most pressing issues.
On Thursday, event production company GSE Worldwide announced the launch of It's Up for Debate, a new live debate series moderated by journalist Charlie Rose.
The series will visit six different cities across the US, with the last event – which will feature MTG and Yang – taking place at ATG San Francisco's Golden Gate Theatre on October 21.
Yang is a businessman who ran for president in 2020 as a Democrat. While he was relatively unknown at the beginning of the race, he rapidly grew in popularity, gaining attention for his push for a universal basic income.
After exiting the race, Yang left the Democratic Party in 2021, and formed his own centrist Forward Party, which presents itself as an alternative to the two major parties.
Greene represented Georgia's first congressional district from 2020 to 2026, during which time she built a reputation for her allegiance to President Donald Trump and her penchant for conspiracy theories and misinformation.
But in Trump's second term, she has openly criticized his agenda, sparking a messy public feud that led to her retiring back in January. She has since been planning to start a new party with other prominent figures who left the MAGA movement.
Yang will also debate conservative commentator Scott Jennings on September 23 and October 5, while MTG will face former Democratic Congressman Bakari Sellers on October 9.
