Dallas, Texas - The MAGA crowd at this week's GOP midterm convention event yelled out death threats aimed at Democratic politicians they don't like.

While giving a speech during the second night of the convention on Thursday, Texas Senator Ted Cruz criticized New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Senate candidate Abdual El-Sayed from Michigan, and Senate candidate James Talarico from Texas.

"When Mamdani says he wants to seize the means of production, he means it. When Abdul El-Sayed says he has an obligation to Sharia Law, he means it. And when James Talarico says he wants to dismantle capitalism, he means it," Cruz tells the crowd.

In between each mention, members of the crowd are clearly heard yelling out, "He should be shot!"

It's unclear if Cruz could hear what was said, as he continued to deliver his speech unfazed.

The moment came as all three Democrats have become rising stars in the party, garnering negative attention from Republicans. MAGA has focused on attacking Mamdani and El-Sayed for being Muslim, and have made a habit of questioning Talarico's masculinity and Christian faith.

During his speech, Cruz made claims that Mamdani and El-Sayed sought to implement Sharia Law in the US, and called on Republicans to "stand together and stop it now."

When asked about the incident in an interview with CNN, El-Sayed mentioned that he had two daughters that he hopes "get to grow up and live with their dad."

He also argued such rhetoric has "become the norm" in US politics, called for it to be condemned, and argued we need to "turn our politics back to conversations that really matter."
