Abercarn, UK: This heartbreaking reunion could have come straight from a Hollywood movie! For over ten years, the spotted cat lady Charlie (13) had been missing – and her owner had almost given up hope. But everything changed on the woman's 30th birthday.

According to the BBC, Hannah Davies’ cuddly four‑legged friend vanished without a trace in April 2016 – just before she moved to Abercarn in Wales.

Despite months of searching and several social‑media appeals, the furry companion could not be located – she had simply disappeared.

Charlie’s owner knew all too well that she was an outdoor cat.

The kitty loved spending time in nature, roaming the neighborhood.

Yet one day the then-three‑year‑old feline never returned from her outing.

"We never lost hope. But sadly, we just couldn't find her," Hannah and her sister Lucy Robertson told the news portal.

The sisters speculated about Charlie’s fate, wondering if she had been hit by a car or kidnapped.

These questions increasingly occupied Lucy and Hannah. More than a decade passed, and no trace of the spotted cat was found. Then a call on July 29 changed everything: a veterinary practice in Abercarn contacted Hannah.

The stray was identified via an implanted microchip. Not only was her owner surprised by the discovery, but the veterinarians were "really shocked" when they learned Charlie’s story. The timing was remarkable, as the news arrived on Lucy’s 30th birthday.

"Hannah has received a call this morning to say she has been found 10 years later," Lucy wrote on her Facebook page.

When Hannah and her sister arrived at the animal clinic, the two women could hardly believe their eyes.

"She doesn't look much different at all, she looks exactly the same as the old photos we have of her," said her owner.

The cat also seemed to remember the siblings.

According to Lucy, the feline recognized them immediately.

The sisters took the 13‑year‑old kitty in and brought her to Wales.

"Right now I feel like she knows she's a bit of a celebrity," Lucy joked.
