In honor of International Cat Day 2026, we're celebrating with a number of pawsome videos of our favorite furry felines.

Cat attack!

On August 8, the holiday with the most fluff and hairballs arrives, dancing and prancing onto our screens.

The day was created in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare, who then handed over the reins to International Cat Care in 2020, according to reports.

Dogs Dog mom is shocked to see what her Golden Retriever does to the baby: "That's a bad boy!"

The theme for 2026's festivities is "Think Cat," a three-word process designed to make people more aware of their cat's needs.

"This #InternationalCatDay, we encourage owners, caregivers, and veterinary professionals to make a positive difference to the cats in your life and #ThinkCAT!" the organization explained.

They then went into even more detail, writing the following:

• "C is for Cat Friendly ways to care for and interact with your cat."
• "A is for Annual check-ups at the vet to keep your cat healthy and happy."
• "T is for Tips and advice to help you care for your cat through all stages of their life."
