"This is what growing up being fully loved and respected looks like," the Gentle Barn sanctuary wrote in a post on Instagram, accompanied by a heart‑warming video of the sweet animal.

The footage shows the cow lying down in the grass, enjoying the beautiful weather.

But she isn’t alone: a caretaker from the farm has joined the cow and is keeping her company.

Since Love’s birth in the summer of 2022, the affectionate cow has been living at Gentle Barn in Tennessee, according to boredpanda.

There, she has since enjoyed plenty of affection and love.

But things were different for her mother Audrey, who grew up in a slaughterhouse.

About six months before Love was born, her mother was rescued and placed in a new home.

At the sanctuary, Audrey eventually gave birth to her calf.

Love's mom continues to live at Gentle Barn, as does her sister, Truth.

"Love is the one who leads the way in showing her family that humans can be kind. It’s all she’s ever known," the Gentle Barn wrote on Instagram.
