Dog gets adopted and returned to shelter, and what happens next is breaking hearts: "His nightmare"
Tiger, Georgia - Everything seems to go wrong for this poor dog. The name “Boss” is nothing but sad irony in his case. The two‑year‑old male doggo, who has spent his life in a Georgia animal shelter, has been unlucky almost his whole life. Only once did a family give him a chance at a home. Yet, just a week after they took Boss in, they broke the hearts of the dog and his former caretakers.
The family returned to the shelter to give Boss the dog back. Apparently, Boss suffered severe separation anxiety and was whining excessively.
It’s now been a year since that incident. In the meantime, the animal rescue called Rescueme ATL from Atlanta got involved. Recently, a staff member visited the unlucky dog.
She recently posted a heartbreaking video from the dog’s shelter on Instagram, where it has already reached nearly 80,000 views and counting.
The animal‑rights activist’s comment alongside the video is what's moving viewers to their core.

Consequently, Boss was surrendered to the shelter on Christmas Eve, right at the start of his time there. The volunteer went to say that the dog, at two years old, has spent half of his life in the shelter, and the other half wasn't much brighter, the volunteer said.
She said he is a relatively small dog that gets along with other pups and children, which is a win-win.
At least now that the video has gone viral on a small scale, it looks like the neglected pup might finally get some attention.
On TikTok, where the clip is also available, at least one user has already stepped forward, saying she wants to take Boss in.
Whether that interest is genuine or just another setback for the dog remains to be seen. A positive update is still pending, but we're rooting for Boss the dog!
