England, UK – Labrador dog Marmalade passed away in May of this year at the age of fourteen. It was a devastating blow to the whole family, but Corgi dog Jam took the loss of her sister hardest of all.

In addition to her owners and Jam, Marmalade also left behind two other Corgis from the family.

Jam couldn't seem to shake the loss, however.

What she did on every walk thereafter broke her owners’ hearts time and again.

A touching video on Instagram explained how "Jam still looks for her" sister around every corner.

The clip first plays clips showcasing how close Jam and Marmalade used to be.

It then shows several moments that take place after the Labrador lady’s tragic death.

Time and again, Jam can be seen lagging behind as the last one to trot behind everyone on walks. The same thing happens each time: the grieving Corgi stops and turns around, as if she’s still waiting for someone to appear.

"Every walk, every corner she used to trot around – she checks. Waits. Looks back like she’s just a few steps behind," they wrote in their post's caption.

"It’s been 3 months since we lost Marmalade, the leader of our pack, and watching Jam search for her has been one of the hardest part of losing her ourselves."

Many Instagram users seem to share this pain. The video has already garnered millions of views within only a few days.

"We couldn’t watch her keep looking without doing something," they said, adding that they had made a big decision. "Jam’s about to get some news."

Soon after, they revealed the surprise – a little Labrador puppy named Mash was recently added to their family!

"Marmalade isn't replaceable, and this isn't about filling a space," the dog lovers wrote in the caption of the post announcement.

"It's about a house that still has so much love to give, and a corgi who needed someone to walk beside."

The sweet little Labrador girl – who they fondly referred to as "a daydreamer" – already seemed to be a hit among the Corgi posse.

Footage showed the dogs frolicking together on a sunny beach.

But has Jam taken to the puppy?

"Mash has brought back her joy," the pet owners wrote in the onscreen text, adding that "love doesn't die. It multiplies."
