Mocha, a tiny blind Chihuahua, lived with animal rescuers at Pawportunities in Missouri until just a few days ago.

Cuddly little Mocha lost her sight one day and has since become the epitome of a lap dog.

Fortunately, someone was looking for exactly this kind of four‑legged companion and wanted to give her a forever home.

Donna James (90) recently asked her daughter to find her a pet companion who could make her dreary days in a wheelchair more bearable.

The nonagenarian wanted a dog, but her daughter had to agree first.

According to Pawportunities, the whole family lives together under one roof!

Her daughter said "yes" and made a call to a shelter. Little did the family know, it would be a very short search.

Donna's daughter contacted the animal rescuers and inquired generally about a four‑legged companion for her mom.

When Mocha was mentioned, the perfect dog for Donna seemed to have been found.

After the rescuers were sure that the blind Chihuahua could be placed in good hands, they brought Mocha and Donna together for a meeting.

A deep bond instantly formed between the female dog and the senior citizen.

A video posted by Pawportunities on Instagram serves as proof, showing Donna holding the little dog in her arms.

The old woman gently presses Mocha close, and it's clear to see that they are forever connected from that moment on.

The dog is also being socialized with the rest of Donna's family in case something happens to the old woman.

If Donna does become unable to care for the pup, her family will then step in to help.
