Illinois – Instead of relaxation, a girl got an unpleasant surprise in the bathtub! Before she could even set foot in the water, she discovered an uninvited animal guest – or at least its hand.
Sloan Hutchinson can still vividly recall her shock, as shown in a viral Facebook video.
"I was about to get into the bathtub, and I saw a hand going in and out of the tub drain," she told The Dodo.
She immediately called her father Zach over to help.
At first, he thought his daughter was pulling his leg.
He changed his mind, however, when he realized Sloan was telling the truth.
Indeed, tiny little fingers were flashing from the overflow cover.
Armed with a screwdriver, Zach removed the chrome piece and freed the bathtub’s unexpected guest: a small tree frog that had somehow managed to wander into the family's drain pipe.
Uninvited animal guest gets sent packing
After a few failed attempts, Zach finally managed to catch the hopping amphibian.
Since a bathtub wouldn't be a suitable habitat for the little guy, the man took the animal to the garden and released it onto the lawn.
"We’re animal lovers," says family man Zach.
"It felt so good to get him out of there. We’ve never had anything like that happen before," he added.
Nevertheless, the incident still needs to be processed – especially by daughter Sloan.
"I told my dad I’ll never step into that bathroom again," she said.
