Mom of two shocked to see her newborn baby moved during bathroom break: "I help Sissy"
Florida – Kids do the wildest things. A Florida mom of two went to the bathroom, and when she returned, her newborn wasn't where she left her. The baby cam footage is nerve-racking!
When Jessica Fortner returned from the bathroom, she found her newborn daughter Everleigh on the couch in her son's lap instead of in her bassinet; she was worried, as Newsweek reports.
"My son had somehow unzipped the bassinet and taken her out not long after I had gone into the bathroom," Fortner said.
But what really had the young mother worried was how her two-year-old son, Greyson, had managed to move the baby.
When she asked her son, he explained his actions, saying simply, "I help Sissy."
Luckily, Fortner could rely on footage from her baby cams.
What she saw was a nail-bitingly stressful transfer.
This mother's horror becomes pride in her son!
"It was very much me holding my breath the entire time I was watching him carry her, hoping he wouldn't drop her," the mom explained.
"Then, when he got her to the couch safely, I was relieved. It was a mix of pride that he loved her enough to try to help her and horror at the fact that he wasn't supporting her head and neck."
Fortner said that as she rewatched the video, her initial horror turned to pride.
"It was one of those things that, as time went on, wasn't so scary anymore, and I started showing it to friends and family, saying, 'Look at this. You'll never believe what Grey did,'" she said.
As time passed, she was inspired to even post the video on TikTok. The video went viral and boasts millions of views.
That said, not all viewers shared her awe, and the comments section is filled with people arguing that the video isn't funny.
Despite TikTokers' hate, Fortner described the video as a reminder that "kids are unpredictable."
