Richmond, Virginia – This man endured a massive transformation, and social media users are quite amazed. Hairstylist Thai Nguyen delivered outstanding work for his latest client, as shown in a TikTok video that's making its rounds online.

The client didn't seem too pleased with his look at the start of the clip. When asked if he's nervous, the poor guy starts to stammer a bit: “It’s been a while, man. I need a haircut.”

He eventually admits that he’s always had his mother cut his hair: "I don't know that she ever did me right."

But the Virginia man came into the barber shop with a clear goal in mind: to look good.

He’s working hard on it, he tells Nguyen, who, in turn, wants to try to make his guest look five years younger.

Finally, he confessed that the last time he had his hair cut was seven years ago because of his weight, admitting his hair was mainly there to hide his face.

However, he's dropped some major pounds since last September, he said. Now all that’s left is to trim the long locks and touch up his facial hair.

Nguyen proceeds to give his new client not only a short haircut but also trims his beard to show his defined jawline. For a before‑and‑after comparison, he even puts his glasses aside briefly – and it makes a difference.

In the comment section beside the video, several users write that they don’t recognize him anymore: "That is a whole [other] person dawg 😭✌️," one TikTok user wrote.

Another TikToker applauded the barber, writing, "You helped give this man his full confidence back 👏."
