Phoenix, Arizona – A toddler named Reed is obsessed with standing in front of the house each morning and waving at the passing school bus. Recently, the little guy turned two, and his parents came up with a special surprise.

Reed's parents captured the whole thing in a now-viral TikTok video.

And what a scene!

The sun is shining, the school bus is pulling up, and the birthday boy stands in front of his parents' house holding a large number two-shaped balloon along with several colorful ones.

That’s why the newly‑turned‑two‑year‑old is standing there in the first place.

He lifts his arm straight up to wave, as is his custom.

The little one shouts out “Hi!" to the schoolchildren several times.

And then it happens: the school bus slows down.

Suddenly, all the kids start waving through the open windows.

Now Reed's dad joins in.

"Oh, hello," he calls out happily to the "big kids." But they’re not done yet!

The students sing "Happy Birthday" at full volume as the bus slowly moves past.

The two‑year‑old’s parents shout "thank you!" enthusiastically as the school bus drives away.

Their son watches the vehicle with a puzzled look, his eyes wide open.

"Every kid was [singing] happy birthday and waving to Reed," the toddler's mom writes in the video’s caption.

"best birthday gift ever!!!!"

The adorable clip – and Reed's starstruck reaction – have achieved viral status.
