Birmingham, UK - Charlie Sullivan has two great obsessions in his life – tattoos and birds! In recent years, he has combined them to launch a radical body mod journey.

To combine his two biggest loves, the 31-year-old has embarked on a mission to tattoo every single bird that's native to Britain. He's inking them on all sorts of people, providing them with gorgeous, colorful pieces of art.

In total, he has tattooed 86 different species of bird into people's skin, documenting the journey on social media – he goes as @charliesullivantattoos on TikTok – and racking up thousands of views.

"It's mental, I've never been this busy with work in my life," Sullivan was cited as saying by the BBC. "I'm doing average three of them a day and I have to fit them around custom work. Some weeks I have 15 of them boomed in, so it's mad."

Most of his clients are people who have seen his content on social media and want to get in on the action, as the tattoos themselves are incredibly detailed and beautiful.

"The fastest I've done took me 40 minutes. That was a pigeon as I've done a lot of tattoos of pigeons," he said. "The tawny owl took me over two hours."

To make the most of his newfound popularity and the remarkable journey he's embarked on, Sullivan's also been using the tattoo jobs to raise money for charity. Mostly, he has raised money for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds – nearly $3000!

"With birds and nature being in the crisis they're in, the plight of nature at the minute, myself profiting off of images of animals, I would like to give something back," he explained.
