Düsseldorf, Germany - A man who covered his entire body in radical modifications and inkings, including tattooed eyeballs and a split tongue, complained about people who say he caused his own blindness.

Juliusz has an extraordinary unique vibe, the bottom half of his face covered by a black-and-white tattoo in the form of a monster's jaw.

Most notable, however, are of course the horns that cover the top of his head, spiking out from implants embedded into his skin.

To make matters even more unusual, he has sliced his tongue down the middle, so that it's split into two separate halves, like a snake.

He tattooed his eyeballs a dark black a little while ago, and has similarly inked his lips.

It's his eyeball tattoos, however, that have caused him the most stress – especially because a condition called Neurofibromatosis Type One made him blind years before even getting the extreme body modification.

The condition is a rare disorder that causes noncancerous tumors to grow on nerve tissue.

Despite the nature of his condition, Juliusz was cited by the Daily Star as saying that people often blame his blindness on the decision to get his eyeballs tattooed.

"The cruelest false claim of all is the recurring accusation that my eye tattoos caused my blindness," he said.

"This is medically impossible, and it is deeply distressing to hear it repeated," he said, explaining how his blindness was caused by an "optic atrophy" linked to the condition.

"The tattoos were performed years after I had already gone blind. The timeline alone makes it impossible. The medicine makes it impossible and yet the myth persists, and it wounds."
